Speaker : Professor Hiroshi Oda, consultant in relation to Russia, CIS and Japanese law at Herbert Smith LLP.

Professor Oda specialises in Japanese and Russian Commercial Law. He is also a professor at the College d’Europe (Brugge). He is the author of Japanese Law (second edition) published by Oxford University Press (2001) and Russian Commercial Law (second edition) published by Martinus Nijhof (2007). He is now working on the third edition of Japanese Law to be published from the Oxford University Press.

Professor Oda is an arbitrator in the Moscow International Court of Commercial Arbitration and Stockholm Institute of Arbitration. He is a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris representing Japan and a qualified attorney in Japan and practices Japanese and Russian law.

The event is organised by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the International Commercial Arbitration Court of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Anglo-Russian Law Association and with the organisational support of Capital Business Events Ltd.
